What is sound bath healing?
Sound healing uses the soothing vibrations of harmonic quartz crystal bowls, voice, and other instruments to deliver restorative effects to the mind, body, and spirit. These sounds create a nurturing, meditative environment where full-body listening can invoke the deepest rest.
Sessions are often called “sound baths” because it can feel like sound is washing over you, leaving you clean and clear.
Allow me to introduce these healing techniques to you.
Next group session on Saturday, April 29th, 10am in Catonsville, MD
“The use of sound as a healing modality dates back to prehistoric times, when shaman chanted and drummed to heal people. In the ancient mystery schools of Egypt, Greece India, and other centers of knowledge, the use of sound and music for healing was a highly developed sacred science. Sonic vibration was known to be the fundamental creative force in the universe.”
– Jonathan Goldman, author of Healing Sounds: The Power of Harmonics

“I love participating in a sound bath when Mary is the guide. She knows exactly what bowls or instruments to use to really touch my spirit and every session is unique. I’ve been blessed to participate in about a dozen sessions so far, and each time I am transported into a calm and peaceful place. If you haven’t tried a sound bath yet, you will be amazed how clear and rejuvenated it can make you feel. If you’ve already experienced the power of a sound bath, I’d encourage you to let Mary lead you on the next step of your wellness journey.
I’m looking forward to my next session. “

What happens in a sound bath session?
Each sound bath is different, but typically, we start off with gentle movement, breathing exercises, and setting intentions. Then, we take it down to a chair or the floor and meditate. Once we’re warmed up, I begin the sound bath using a variety of instruments. Sessions are typically one hour in length.
If you’re new to the concept, I recommend listening to a sound bath for yourself! I bet you’ll be surprised by how you respond emotionally and spiritually.
